Welcome back! We hope you had a lovely break. Thank you also for all the warm wishes, gifts and cards that you gave us at the end of term. We were very touched by your generosity.
Miss Bailey, Miss Smith and I have been very impressed with the start the children have made to the Spring term. They have been working incredibly hard and showing great determination with their learning. We are very much looking forward to continuing to support them this term. Please do come and see us if you have any questions or concerns about any aspect of your child’s learning or well-being.
-Swimming lessons will continue on Thursdays until the February half term.
-The children will also have gymnastics with Mr Reisman on Fridays.
-Please make sure your child has the right kit in school.
-Homework will continue to be given out on Fridays and is due in by the following Wednesday.
-Spellings will be tested on Wednesdays.
-Miss Bailey and I are happy to help children with their homework on Monday or Tuesday lunchtimes, if they have struggled to complete it at home for any reason.
-Children who do not bring in their homework on time will be expected to do it during Wednesday lunchtime.
-Last term, a number of children were bringing in toys such as lego figures to school. This caused a number of problems with toys being lost or reported stolen. For this reason, we have told the children that they are not allowed to bring toys into school.
-However, beyblades are allowed on Tuesdays and Thursdays because Year 6 will be running a ‘Beyblade’ club at lunchtimes.
-The children have recently completed mid-year SPaG, Maths and Reading assessments. If you would like to know how your child did in these assessments, and what areas they found more difficult, please email me at email@example.com, catch me at the end of the school day, or arrange an appointment.
