Welcome back and wishing you a very Happy New Year as we look forward to another productive term in Year 6M.
If you would like to speak to us at any time to discuss any issues about your child, please do not hesitate to come and ask. I am available most days after school from 3.15 to 3.45.
Our PE days are Wednesday and Thursday. This term we will be focusing on tag rugby and dance.
Please ensure your child has the correct school PE kit and that it is appropriate for the time of year. Children should keep their PE kits in school all week and take them home at the end of each week to be washed.
Homework will be sent home each week on a Friday and will consist of Maths, English and Spellings. Children will be taught a spelling rule and expected to find words that follow that rule for their homework. They will also be given 25 words each term from the year 6 spelling list which they have to learn by heart.
Please make sure your child reads each night. Children are able to come and discuss their homework with us, in class, if they need extra help.
This term Year 6 will be studying ‘Goodnight Mr Tom’ in Literacy. Cross-curricular links will be made to Geography, art, music and PE.
